Scouting Develops Youth into Leaders...and American Heroes

Come show your support for Col. James B. Hickey '82, decorated VMI alum, during the Friends of Scouting Annual Fundraising Dinner, Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.  

Col. Hickey was the US Army commander for Operation Red Dawn which captured Saddam Hussein near Tikrit, Iraq. Highly decorated for his service to our country over 28 years, Col. Hickey speaks about preparation, leadership, and honor. 

CMDR Paul Galanti, USN (ret.) will be honored with the "Good Citizen Award" during this event. Galanti is currently a member of the VMI Board of Visitors and the Commissioner of Veteran Services for the Commonwealth of Virginia, appointed by Gov. McDonnell.
