From the President...
VMI Club of Richmond
Post Office Box 807
Richmond, VA 23218
Dear Richmond Chapter Alumni
and Friends,
I am honored to serve as
President of the VMI Club of Richmond this year and excited to introduce
the Officers and Directors for 2012. Last year, under the effective
leadership of Will Charlet ’01, we expanded our board, added various engaging
events and created an official website for the Club of Richmond. Since
the Club’s inception in 1928, our purpose has been to promote social interaction
among VMI alumni, cultivate and maintain the VMI Spirit, and support the
interests of the Virginia Military Institute. This year, our board of
dedicated alumni will continue to support this mission and help strengthen
bonds among alumni and friends.
We encourage you to pay your 2012
annual dues of $25.00 either online (www.vmirichmond.com) or send your check
to the above address, payable to the VMI Club of Richmond. The
dues cover the necessary expenses for the Club and offset the cost of some of
the great events we have planned for this year. Also, please contact us
if you or your company is interested in becoming a sponsor on the
VMI Club of Richmond website; 3 months ($350) and 12 months
($1,200). We greatly appreciate those who have already paid dues and
pledged to be sponsors.

Richmond is very fortunate to
have the largest alumni base in the country. While there is
good participation from local alumni of all ages, I believe many more alumni
could reach out and get more involved with the VMI Club of Richmond.
We urge you to take full advantage of meeting and forming relationships with
brother rats of all classes. Many people tell me at our events that they
really wish to be more active. Seize the opportunity and start
being active now! The more alumni and friends that participate in
the Club, the better this year’s events and future offerings will be.
Thank you for your continued
support of the VMI Club of Richmond and cheers to what will be another
exciting year!
Rah Virginia Mil,
Maury A. Denton ‘07
